About The Event

Crossing borders is an integral part of daily activity for millions of people. Those who live on a border may go to work, study, shop, or relax by crossing the border from one country to another. In cross-border mobility, however, we may have to face administrative and cooperation challenges. Also, we may encounter differences in various issues such as social security, taxation, health system, legal system, crime control system, cross-border entrepreneurship, educational system, sustainability and energy transformation issues, and so on.

Nowadays we may say that we have made some progress in growing cooperation and mobility in the cross-border regions. However, they are easier said than done. So far, we have not resolved all the technical, legal, and cultural obstacles for a seamless integration of states with no border. How can we advance to the level of integrity among states in the border area? What innovations apply to the mechanism of cross-border management that we need?

Universitas Stikubank (UNISBANK) Semarang is proud to announce the holding of the 2024 International Symposium on Applied Science and Technology (ISAST). The 2024 International Symposium on Applied Science and Technology (ISAST) is a follow-up activity to the 2023 International Conference of Multidisciplinary Studies (ICMS).

Theme: Cross-Border Digital Applied Innovation: AI, Economics, Legal, Tourism, and Linguistics

This year’s theme is “Cross-Border Digital Applied Innovation: AI, Economics, Legal, Tourism, and Linguistics”. The International Symposium on Applied Science and Technology (ISAST) 2024 is held as a forum for broad, open, and general discussion in the field of applied innovation which is not only limited to the perspective of the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Economics, Legal, Tourism and Linguistics.

The 2024 International Symposium on Applied Science and Technology (ISAST) of Universitas Stikubank (UNISBANK) Semarang is an ongoing activity as the platform for academics, students, researchers, innovators, and industry experts to discuss ideas of new and applicable innovations, researchers, and contemporary and sustainable scientific fields that are beneficial to the general public.

In addition, the 2024 International Symposium on Applied Science and Technology (ISAST) also offers opportunities for academics and industry experts to meet and interact with local and international participants. We invite you to send individual paper proposals and panel paper proposals on various topics and issues in applied innovation including the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Economics, Legal, Tourism, and Linguistics corresponding to the theme: Cross-Border Digital Applied Innovation to enhance and diversify conference perspectives and dialogue.

    Review Process

    • 1. The review process will be done in a range of 8 to 14 days.
      2. One Reviewer in terms of substantial, the maximum number of articles to review is 3 articles.
      3. Double-blind review is applied for all review articles.

    • 1. Only to reviewers that are suitable with their field.
      2. More than one Reviewer and to make a review with technical issues of the article.
      3. Relevance to the Conference topic.
      4. Importance of the research / State-of-the-art.
      5. Proper methodology.
      6. Arguments and conclusions.
      7. Academic Writing quality.
      8. Each revised article will be checked by the Editor/Technical Review to make sure all review is done by the author

    • 1. The submitted manuscripts must use the template that has been provided.
      2. Upon receiving the LOA, the Author must submit the presentation file in the PPT format and a maximum 10-minute video of their presentation.
      3. Author will receive 1 Technical Review and a Minimum of 1 Substantial Reviewer both from the Author's Suggestion or/and chosen from the Committee.
      4. When the article is delivered to the publisher, every Author will receive Galley Proof and Similarity Result with Turnitin or iThenticate no more than 25%. As an Author must agree with the edited version, except there is some correction from the Author.
      5. Every Author will receive information and the status of the article after submitted.
